Full Two Minute Opening Storyline (Group)
Opening shot is the camera panning across a wall in a room filming photos hung up. The camera then slowly pans downwards towards a photo frame with a pamphlet next to it revealing it to be from a funeral in remembrance of the girl in the picture. The camera then journeys through the house listing the actor's names in the film. The camera travels through the house and introduces a group of friends hosting a memorial party for their friend who they begin talking about in memory. The group of friends continue their conversation before deciding to take a group selfie to mark the anniversary of their friend’s death. The group stand and pose and take the picture. As the camera flashes the scene cuts to the flash of a police report and taking a photo of a dead body (Piper’s). A montage runs of the police report whilst an audio plays of the police officer's notes and denouncing of the body's death. As the police complete their report, a CSI officer prepares a white cover to mask the dead body, as the CSI officer wafts the cover, the film cuts back to the memorial and the group are laying out a white cloth for a party game. The group start to play spin the bottle, as they spin the empty bottle the camera captures a dark silhouette pass by the door frame of the room they're in. The group carrying on playing and growing excited over the game unaware of the creepy shadow that lurks. Whilst the game is being played an audio of eerie whispers ring through the camera. Creepy music plays as the camera slows down the spinning of the bottle and the group’s smiles and facial expressions are slowed, the film then speeds up and the bottle stops spinning and points out of the room and appears to point at the balcony. The friends look up and the silhouette of Piper’s ghost is stood staring back at them. The friends are shocked in fear and stare blankly, frozen, unable to physically move themselves. The lights then flicker off but turn back on to reveal Piper missing, the friends are shook and hold onto each other frightened at what's just happened. Then all of a sudden shot glasses fall off the table and shatter, amidst the shards of glass one of the friends pick up a note reading ‘My death was because of you’. As one friend reads the note another picks up a photo of Piper with the 4 of them, as she stares at it the sound of breaking glass echoes around the room, frightened they look at each other for comfort. The friend with the photo then looks back to see it cracked with a silhouette of Piper stood at the opposite end of the room. With a loud ringing of eerie music the title sequence rolls. THE REMEMBERING. After the title sequence rolls the camera fades back to the group of friends at their school sat in one of their lessons on the back row passing notes to each other. The camera films in front of them as they pass the notes but cuts to a behind shot to allow the viewer to read the notes as well. Carter is given the note last and nods towards Bree and Elias and they agree to meet on a school bench at lunch outside to discuss what happened at the party. The bell rings and the 3 gather their bags and head out of the room, the camera cuts to them walking down the hallway talking and then walking outside and sitting on the bench, as soon as Carter and Elias sit down Bree loses it and the stress and fear becomes too much for her resulting in her shouting at the boys, Carter stands up and tells Bree to sit down and calm down, he tells her that they all must have had too much to drink and the fact that they were remembering Piper made them see things, Elias questions Carter’s logic and claims that all 3 of them couldn’t’ve seen the exact same thing or the photo frame cracking or the bottles flying. Carter once again tries to take charge and dictates that they were drunk and Piper’s ghost wasn’t actually there. Bree looks down and folds herself into herself obviously still terrified and worried, Carter still remains stood up to maintain authority and Elias grabs his bag and tells the group he’s going to his lesson but the conversation about the situation isn’t over. The camera cuts from Elias leaving the group to Carter in the lunch queue, he turns around and sees Bree sat at a table by herself on a computer, Carter joins her and turns her laptop to see what she’s working on, the screen is from a Ghosthunting website. Carter tells Bree that she needs to stop looking into what happened and that ghosts aren’t real. Bree tries to tell Carter that she knows what happened was real and she can’t forget about Piper or the memorial like he can. The film then cuts to Elias in his lesson, as he opens one of his books he sees a note in between the paper fold, he reads it under the desk and it reads “You forgot about me” in the same writing as the note from the memorial, frightened he immediately raises his hand and asks to leave lesson due to him feeling ill. Instead of going to the toilet or to the school nurse he stands, leaning against a wall round the corner of his class and texts Bree and Carter and tells them to meet him in the school library. The film cuts to Elias throwing the note down at where Bree and Carter are sat, Bree goes to read it but Carter snatches it away, he then asks if this is some sick joke, Elias explains that it was in his maths book and it proves what happened at the memorial was no drunken mirage. Bree gets her laptop out to log onto the ghosthunting website but Carter closes it accusing Elias of forging the letter to evidence the Piper hoax. Elias becomes angry at Carter and they begin to argue, Bree intervenes before the librarian tells them to leave or be quiet, Elias says he’s going back to his lesson anyway and Bree leaves as well to go study during her free and takes her laptop back off Carter. The scene cuts to Carter on his bus journey home from school, he gets off and begins walking home. He walks along the path home, the film cuts to flashbacks of him and Piper spending time together and laughing, as he keeps walking along the path the flashbacks continue and his memory of the two of them grows stronger. However the flashbacks start to grow darker and sounds of Piper screaming and becoming scared, eerie, high-pitched, suspense music plays before a loud scream from Piper and a flashback of her body. Carter screams and tries to wipe his eyes and rub his face as he blames his tiredness to be the cause of the nonsense, as he wipes his eyes he looks into a car mirror and the silhouette of Piper’s body is stood behind him at the other end of the path, Carter looks back but she isn’t there, he begins circling and looking around him but there’s no sign of Piper. He leans on a fence and a car drives past, through the car windows the silhouette of Piper can be seen on other end of the road, he leans forward to try and get a clearer view. As he looks a closer he is frightened by a dog who begins barking at him for leaning on the fence, the silhouette isn’t there when he looks back again. The camera cuts to Bree at home on her laptop looking at arguments as to why ghosts haunt and how to talk to them or rid them. Bree searches all over and scans through pages and pages of websites, the most common answer she finds is performing a ouija board and the ghost could still be present due to seeking revenge or refusing to let go. Bree texts Elias to tell him about looking into them performing a ouija board experiment, her phone then rings and she picks up the phone to Carter, the signal is poor and Bree struggles to hear Carter, the signal begins to crack and suddenly the only voice Bree can hear is that of Piper’s constantly saying “My death was your fault”- “My death was your fault” the phone call then cuts off and Bree tries to ring Carter but can’t connect and her texts won’t send either. Bree grabs her coat and texts Elias to meet at Carter’s house. The group assemble at Carter’s house and Carter tells them what just happened, Bree then brings up her ouija board idea and for the first time ever: Carter agrees with her. The scene then cuts to the 3 of them sat around a ouija board with the lights off and candles surrounding the board. Elias is the first to call out and he asks if there are any spirits that wish to talk to them, nothing happens and the planchette stays completely still. Elias keeps trying but hits no avail and Carter starts to become aggravated at Elias and once again the two start arguing, during the arguing the table they’re resting on nudges and a candle blows out, they quickly stop arguing and they accuse Bree of faking it- she promises it wasn’t her and Elias once again calls out, the planchette then starts to move. Elias asks if the presence in the room is Piper and the planchette moves to yes, the group of friends gasp and pull away exchanging scared expressions, Elias shrugs of his fear and puts his fingers back onto the planchette, Bree screams no, shaking her head and tells the boys that she’s changed her mind and doesn’t want to do this anymore. Carter tells Bree that they need to know what Piper wants and if she needs their help, reluctantly Bree rejoins the circle and places her fingers back on the planchette, Elias calls out to ask if she needs help. She says no, Carter tells Elias to ask about the note, but as Elias begins to open his mouth the planchette moves to goodbye. Carter desperately keeps shouting questions aloud but the planchette doesn’t move, suddenly the sound of the printer catches the trio’s attention and pieces of paper begin printing off piecing together: ‘My death was your fault’ Carter grabs the pieces of paper and goes to turn the printer off but is shook when it isn’t even on! The final print is the police officer’s examination photo of Piper’s dead body. Bree screams when she sees it and Carter still shook rips the pieces of paper up, Elias looks at Carter and says “What have we done?” the group of friends stare at eachother confused and helpless on what to do, suddenly a gush of wind sends the shards of paper flying round the room and the whispering of: “My death was your fault” repeats and echoes around the room and the candles start to flicker again, Elias runs to the ouija board and tells Carter and Bree to hurry as well. Elias immediately asks if it is Piper and the planchette becomes ice-cold and moves to yes, Elias asks what the recurring note means and if one of the group killed her and the planchette moves to yes. The group gasp and Elias hesitantly asks who killed Piper, the planchette spells out Carter. Bree screams in fear and shock, Elias falls silent and just stares at Carter, Carter looks at his friends and says she’s lying but the group don’t believe him and grow angry and scared of their friend, Carter grows more and more angry and pushes the table over throwing the ouija board across the room. Carter storms out slamming the door leaving Bree and Elias disturbed sat in the room staring at each other. The next day at college Bree and Elias are sat in the lunch hall; Bree is on her laptop and Elias is studying, Carter walks up to them and asks if he can talk to them, they blank him, he closes Bree’s laptop and pushes Elias’ books off the table, Elias then looks up to confront Carter and that they can’t be friends now that they know he killed their friends, Carter tries to explain himself but Elias gets his stuff and Bree follows him. Carter sits on the table by himself and goes on his phone going through photos of him and Piper together, as he swipes he sees a picture of him and Piper but with the silhouette of Piper’s ghost behind them, he looks closer and the silhouette jumps out of its pose holding it’s hand out to grab him, Carter jumps backwards throwing his phone of the table in shock, he looks around and quickly gathers his stuff and runs to the bathroom, he splashes his face with water and looks into the mirror to rub his eyes and take heavy breaths. As he looks into the mirror he hears the sound of scratching and looks to see his name being scratched into the glass and stood beside him is Piper he looks behind and she’s not there but looks back to see her still stood behind him in the mirror. He runs the tap and tries to wash his face, he splashes water but when he looks back into the base he sees Piper’s face staring back. He texts the group into the group chat what’s happened and the picture of the photo with Piper in the background, when he sends it he gets an instant reply saying “My death was your fault” Carter runs out of the bathroom to try and find Elias and Bree, running down the hallway the trio bump into each other; Carter pleads if he can explain. The film then fades to the group sat on a bench with Carter explaining what happened and a montage of flashbacks play of Piper’s final day; Carter and Piper were on a romantic date and they stayed out on the river for too long, the waves became too strong and they rowed out too far, the waves started to tip the boat rocking sideways, the waves become too strong and Piper gets thrown overboard, Piper beggings struggling and Carter desperately tries to save her, Piper can’t grab onto Carter’s hand so he leans further, Piper desperately calls out for him but he can’t reach her, he knows that if he leans any further he’ll grab her but fall in too, he tells her he can’t save her and begins to roe off. Carter gets back to shore and begins crushing the boat to make it seem like the boat was destroyed and hopefully hide what he's done, he wets his clothes and rings the police, he throws the broken boat planks into the river and watches as they drown, the camera films the wood sinking following under the water to show the corpse of Piper sinking. The film then cuts back to Carter sat with Elias and Bree at college. Elias claims that Carter has to apologise otherwise Piper won't leave; she has to move on but Carter doesn't know what she wants from him. Bree suggests another ouija board to talk to her but Elias isn't too sure it'll work. Instead he tells them to go round to his house again as he's got an idea. Bree and Carter leave and Elias looks at the spooky photo a second time before locking his phone. The film then cuts to Elias placing candles around a memorial photo of Piper and with a notepad ready, the group arrive and they form a circle and begin to write the note; apologising for her death and asking what she wants from them. The group place the note with the candles and photo and leave the seance room. The group order pizza and sit around whilst eating their pizza they hear a thump coming from the room they performed the seance. Elias calls out to see if any intruder is their but the door knob starts to rattle and the group begin questioning whether it is Piper’s ghost in there. They go over to the room and try and open the door but the rapid rattling of the door handle is too strong and neither Elias or Carter combined can stop the power or open the door. The 2 step back when their feet suddenly start to feel cold and they look down to see what leaking from behind the door and flowing through under the bottom of the door. Carter shouts through the door asking “Piper to stop and they he’s sorry for her death, he loved her but was scared and selfish and an idiot and has never forgiven himself for it” The door opens and the candles have fallen off the table and have extinguished in the water and the photo is flat on the table. Carter goes to pick up the note but as he reads it he sees that the note is blank. He shows it to the group and they stare as their writing has completely vanished, Bree says perhaps that's all she wanted to hear but Carter wants to give Piper a proper send off that he never gave her before. The three of them walk down to the river where Carter and Piper spent their last date together and on a small boat Carter pushes out a candle with a photo frame of a collage of photos of the group with a note also in a frame declaring their love for her. As the both sails away the trio stand together and a montage of the group as a 4 plays over them, the final montage is of Piper and Carter together and of their first kiss. The montage fades back to the trio and of the candle light flickering as it fades into the distance. Life goes back to normal with Elias and Bree studying in the hall however the music of the film starts to grow more eerie as the camera pans over to Carter, who is sat outside holding hands with another girl, it's a windy day and the rubbish from students lunch is flying around however a note lands on Carter’s lap, he reads “I thought you loved me” he stares at the paper and goes over to the bin, screws it up and bins it, he stares away and as he turns back his new girlfriend isn't there and the college feels eerie he shouts out to see if anyone's there and he feels an icy cold presence, “I thought you loved me” whispers behind him and as he begins turn round and the movie fades into a dark canvas and The Remembering ends. The End.

Mood Board for Individual Storyline (Spring Breakers)
I have picked Spring Breakers as my storyline as it involves partying, drugs and friends. A particular friend in the film gets spiked and wakes up not knowing where she is, which relates to the opening two minutes of my individual idea.
Kiera's Opening Sequel Idea (Individual)
GENRE: THRILLER/MYSTERY
Beginning (First TWO MINUTES): Kiera is at a party and gets spiked. The last
thing she remembers is passing out in the middle of dancing with lots of people
crowded around them. The next scene she wakes up in a random house in bed
alone, with blood all over her body and in a lot of pain. There is a radio
playing distantly in the kitchen and it is blaring news that they’re looking
for Kiera, a missing person, as she committed a murder last night. As she
listens in horror, flashbacks begin to race around in her head. Flashbacks
include getting kicked out the party, getting put in a random car with two
people, in a forest area with the same two people, lots of blood and kissing
someone that holds a knife. These flashbacks are all clues of what happened the
night before.
Middle: Rushes around house, searching for signs of
familiarity etc. The person gets to the point of despair and hopelessness, but
at the last minute finds a phone ringing in a coat pocket. The person checks
the phone and missed calls. There is a
conversation between two people explaining how they are going to frame the
character up so they can take revenge on someone else by killing them. More
texts give evidence that the two people are going to meet up at 12.30PM at a
place called ‘Longley Park’. They agree to meet up ‘in the skate-park shelter
behind the black bin’ Kiera uses google maps on the same phone to find the
location of where she is, and discovers she is three minutes away from the park
and over 50 miles from the place where she went to the party. It is 12.22PM.
She has to decide whether to go to the park and find out who has set her up.
She is in a lot of pain but decides to go anyway to save her from the police
accusations of murder.
End: When she arrives at the park, she goes onto voice
recorder on the phone and hides it behind the bin. She hides behind a fence and
waits. Nobody turns up for over an hour. Just as she is about to leave and give
up, because it is cold and she is covered in blood so it looks even more
suspicious, she notices two figures dressed fully in black. They have a conversation and quickly leave, leaving
the phone with a documentation of the conversation. This conversation goes onto
to say how Kiera has been framed and their plan to kill her next. The last
scene is Kiera going to the police station and handing in the evidence, meaning
she can go free and the two people were caught. When they reveals the two
people, it turns out to be her ex-boyfriend and his friend who wanted revenge
on her because she dumped him.
Mood Board for Individual Film- We Accept The Love
This shows images that I assosiate with my film such as the drugs that Rose takes and the school bus on which Derek and Rose both meet each other. There is also films which are similar to my idea such as The Breakfast Club in which a group of children become unlikely friends and The Panic In Needle Park where they influence each other into taking drugs before becoming indipendant on it.
Georgina's Story Line Individual Idea We Accept The Love
A girl (Rosalia) is rocking back and forth on the bed. She looks ill
and tired with dark circles under her eyes. It cuts to the scene of the morning with a boy (Derek) walking down the street. It shows Rosalia once she has calmed down she is still sat on her bed
when a Derek walks past and looks up and waves. Monday morning on the bus she is
sat alone when Derek walks on and goes to sit with his friends only to pause when he sees her.
Instead he goes and sits next to her. This happens for a few days where they
just sit in comfortable silence and he notices she likes music and listens to it on her iPod. He goes home
and begins to look up music to show her and then on the bus the next day he
shows her. Each day he shows her a new song before talking to her on the
Monday morning. He introduces himself and after several minutes Rosalia does the same. Derek invites Rosalia to his dad’s record shop that weekend but she declines
even when he asks every day that week until she accepts on the Friday. On the
Saturday she turns up and they start going through the records before he begins
to play one and he tries to dance with her but she struggles before relaxing a
little. He calls her Rose and she laughs admitting she likes his name for her. His dad walks in and offers her a job which she immediately accepts.
As the weeks go on they become closer and closer which is a montage of different clips of the two at the shop or at their houses even on walks through the park only for something to fall out of her jacket pocket which turns out to be drugs. He pulls away from her and it shows their separate lives without each other such as different scenes of her taking drugs and him looking at old pictures of her and growing distant from his friends. She stops showing up to school as well as work and he becomes worried. As the weeks pass by he becomes more worried about her before going back to hers only to find she has been missing for weeks.
He begins to search for her, putting up fliers and using his popularity to get people to help. In class he gets pulled out and the police say that they have found her in the woods. He goes to see her only to be stopped and the police simply say ‘I’m sorry.’ Static noises appear in his ears before he starts running. Ends up at the woods only to see the stretcher being loaded on to the back of an ambulance.
He goes to her funeral along with most of the school’s students and gives a speech telling everyone how you never know what a person’s going to be like until you meet them before telling them if they’d given her a chance at school she’d still be here.
Weeks later he’s not moved from his room when he receives a letter from her which tells him he loves him and it ends with him laying the letter and a single rose on her grave.
First Three Minutes
It starts with a view of a dark lit room before zooming in on the bed where a figure is huddled. She has dark eyes and is softly rocking back and forth. A shot zooms in on her eyes and then zooms back out to her on the bed. It cuts to a guy walking down the street listening to music. It continues to cut between them until it cuts to her window where he looks up and sees her before slowly waving. She stops crying and focuses on the boy. Whilst this is going on the actors names are appearing and fading. It then cuts to black as the title screen comes up. It cuts to her sitting at the bus stop and the boy sits down next to her and smiles before it cuts off as the bus pulls up. As they get on the bus it shows her walking to her usual seat before showing the boy sitting next to her again, ignoring his friends calls from the back. The title screen comes up as the bus pulls away as the shot zooms from the window showing the bus moving away.

Three Minute Storyline Start (Individual)
Genre- Horror
First 3 minutes
Three friends are sat at the
kitchen table at around 12:30am. They are having a sleepover and a few drinks
as Kiera’s parents have gone away for the night and they have made an Ouija
board. The weather is dismal and there is lightening. They begin to start
asking if there are any demons and nothing seems to happen. They all begin to
laugh and keep repeating the question and various other ones such as “Are you
going to kill us?” etc. Kiera shouts “Is there a demon amongst us” and the
pointer moves to yes which becomes apparent that Tyler was the one who moved
it. However, the pointer begins to move on its own and points out the word
‘death’. Tyler is accused of doing this again in which he actually hadn’t moved
it. Kiera and Georgina go upstairs because they think that Tyler is lying. The
lights begin to shut off around the whole house and the windows all open in the
kitchen where Tyler is. The door slams shut and will not open and Tyler begins to
shout for help. Kiera and Georgina ignore his pleas as they think he is joking.
A demon like figure keeps appearing in the background from each flash of
lightening. As Kiera comes downstairs to tell Tyler to calm down there is a
shrieking wail and she enters the kitchen to Tyler laying on the floor lifeless
with the demonic figure above him which lunges towards Kiera screaming.

Main Body
Georgina is seen mourning over
the loss of her two best friends and is comforted by another close friend of
the group called Louis. All of the school believe that she murdered them both
and she is a “psycho freak” but she knows for a fact that she didn’t and they
were messing with the Ouija board. From this she decides to research into the
past residents who lived in the house and finds out the father, Bill Hunter, who
lived in the house killed his whole family and was a serial killer and ended up
killing himself in his basement with all the dead bodies 52 years previously.
Georgina asks Louis to help her try and rid of the ‘demon’. However children’s
bodies begin to be found in the same house meaning that the police cordon the
house off so they have to sneak in.
End:
Georgina and Louis decide to stay
in the house overnight and try and overcome Bill Hunter and find out what his
exact intentions are in killing others. The house is run down and scummy due to
the little living inhabitants it has and from the police cordoning off the
house due to the various deaths of the children. Throughout the night there are
numerous ghostly occurrences such as children’s toys playing without nobody
starting them and creaks of floor boards. Louis goes upstairs when he hears the
cry of a young girl only to have Bill ‘push’ him down the stairs leaving him unconscious
and Georgina on her own. She has to face Bill through various jump scares such
as wardrobes slamming and his figure appearing. At the end Georgina finds out
that Bill was bullied throughout the whole of his childhood and he wants to
somewhat release his pain by bringing it upon others yet Georgina manages to
get the paranormal presence of Bill to be ‘killed’ and gives her a sense of
closure to move on from the incident and the murder of her friends.

They go into the bathroom and Emily sets it all up for them, she unlocks her phone and searches the chant for them to recite. Sophie cleverly makes Emily stay in the room with them “to make sure they don't chicken out” The girls turn the light off and only the several candles light up the room. The girls look into the mirror and repeat the chant 3 times. They bang on the door screaming for their mum and then Sophie feels a breath of cold air at the back of her neck, Lily feels an ice-cold hand stroke along her neck and Emily hears a faint yet clear voice of an elderly woman saying “Mary, Mary are you-” then all the girls cry out as the room is shook by the loud, eerie shout of “Here!?” The light then comes back on and the door opens. Their problems don't end there, when they run back to Lily’s room there’s a red liquid on her door, Emily touches it, smells it, then licks it and reveals what they all feared it was; blood. The girls enter Lily’s room and try to calm down and think of how they can explain what has just happened and try to conclude that it was fake, as they talk the camera pans out of the room and standing in front of the door is a ghostly corpse dressed in a black bridal gown with hands dripping red blood. The movie then cuts to the title sequence. The next morning the girls try to tell their mum what had happened but she doesn't believe them. Liz tells the girls that they're no longer allowed sweets or sugary snacks before bed, no horror films or staying up late. The phone rings and it is Sophie’s mum ringing up to say that Sophie refuses to go to bed because of the game Emily made them play last night and how they awoke a ghost. Liz shouts at Emily and grounds her. Later that night, Lily in the middle of the night wakes up and goes to the toilet, rubbing her eyes and forgetting about the haunting that took place there. She washes her hands and turns the tap off and dries her hands, as she drys her hands the tap starts running again, so she turns it off, turns the light off and walks out of the bathroom, after a few steps out of the bathroom and she hears the tap running again, she turns it off and goes back into bed. She lies in bed, rolls over and hears the tap running again, she immediately wakes up and stares out onto the landing, the camera zooms into Lily's face who looks very frightened and then cuts to a shot of the landing and then Lily peering round her doorframe at the side of the camera, as she looks out the sound of running water stops, she goes back to sleep and then feels droplets falling onto her face and they get faster and faster, she wakes up to see the shadow of the a bridal woman in the corner of her room near the door. She screams, throws the duvet over her face, Liz runs in and hugs Lily and asks what's wrong, she points to the door saying there was a woman in a black dress standing there but Liz sees her black Parker coat and tells the girls that these silly games have to stop. The next morning when the girls are at school and Liz is busy cleaning the house, Liz puts her earphones in and is busy hoovering her living room, amidst the hoovering a cool air seems to surround the house despite all windows being closed, Liz begins to shiver but simply turns the heating on and carries on hoovering. After a morning of hoovering, Liz sits down in her tidy living room and enjoys a cup of tea and readymade sandwich, as she drinks her tea and reads a magazine the sound of a mug smashing in the kitchen grabs her attention, Liz jumps up to see what caused the noise, a cubboard is swinging open and a mug has smashed on the floor, due to the door swinging Liz checks if anyone is in the house, she opens the door and the camera faces her outside of the house and a black silhouette can be seen standing behind Liz near the staircase, Liz closes the door suspiciously and then turns around and the silhouette is no longer stood by the stairs. Confused and slightly scared, Liz decides to clear up the mug shards, as she picks up the pottery shards she sees red blood and looks at her fingers but they aren't bleeding, she throws the broken mug back down, screams and walks out of the kitchen. Liz shouts around her house trying to expose an intruder but no one answers, the camera zooms towards Liz’s face as her hoover, which she unplugged, rolls behind her and stops at the stairwell. Liz falls in fear and sits on the bottom step, staring at the hoover in fear and confusion, the camera stays facing Liz until the sound of a door slamming shut grabs her attention and both Liz and the camera stare at the second floor. Liz slowly walks up the staircase to locate which room has been entered, she opens every door but finds nothing, until she reaches the final door; Lily’s room, however her door won't open as if it is locked and Liz tries jiggling the door handle but no matter how much force she uses the door won't open. She stands back tired from trying to open the door and then her hoover suddenly turns on and the sound of pans and glass being thrown echo from downstairs, the door handle then starts jiggling from inside of Lily’s room, terrified Liz runs into her own room and shuts the door behind her and locks it. The Bloody Mary chant starts echoing around the house growing louder and louder and house begins to shake. The camera moves closer and closer to Liz hiding behind the door, cutting from shots of her hiding behind the door and the camera moving towards the door. The chant shouts “Are you here” and the camera cuts to the girls entering the house after coming home from school. The household objects stop moving, the kitchen calms down and the voice immediately stops and Lily’s room door swings open. Emily calls out for Liz and Lily goes to look into the kitchen, Liz then darts out of her room, and hugs the girls telling them they're going to stay at their grandma’s for a while. The scene ends with the camera fading from a shot of the family hugging. The next scene is of the family driving up the drive of a country house belonging to their grandma’s and then cuts to them unloading their bags and dropping them off in the hallway. The camera then fades out using aerial shots of the girls unpacking the car to then cuts to a montage where Emily is texting, Lily is setting her teddys on her bed and Liz and her mother are in the kitchen talking about the haunting whilst Janet washes her dishes and Liz dries the dishes. Janet suggests that Liz should look at calling a Paranormal Investigator Company to check the house. Liz thinks about it, staring blankly and then looking into the sink to grab another bowl but instead sees a reflection of a ghostly figure in the water, she drops the bowl and it smashes, the camera films Liz looking into the distance debating on what to do. The film cuts to a suitcase being placed on the ground and then pans upwards to reveal a man (Mark the ghost hunter) staring at the house, he then walks in and is greeted by the family and they show him round, tell him the stories of the events that took place in the rooms and describe the Ghost Woman to Mark and how the hauntings all started. Mark then calls for his team and they arrive in a van to drop off his equipment and they help him set up for his investigation, the girls watch him and stare at his equipment whilst he sets it all out and explains what each one does and then tells the family to go about their lives normally and he will stop whatever thing haunts this house from terrorising them. The film cuts to Liz tucking the girls in bed and then tucking herself into her bed (a mattress, duvet and a couple of pillows on the floor in the girl's room) and then turning off the light. The camera pans out of the room and under the floor to cut to Mark sat with a lit candle lighting up the room and a ouija board in front of him and begins calling out to the ghost. He gets nothing but still tries and he makes his voice louder and more stern, all of a sudden the candle flickers, he then asks if he is in the presence of the ghost who’s been haunting the family, the door swings slamming shut and his hands follow the piece onto yes. He begins asking the spirit questions as to why she is haunting them “because they called out” is her response. Mark asks if she will leave them but instead the table flips up, the ouija board flies across the room and the candle spills wax burning Mark’s leg. The curtains start ripping down from the hanger and the TV turns on but fails to tune and instead crackles, the radio in the kitchen begins playing through different stations, the family hear this and their quilts get pulled off with Lily's bed tipping over sideways, they try to run to find Mark, except the bedroom door swings shut on them and traps them in the room, Mark tries to go for the door to escape his room but his burn slows him down and a chair slides in front of the door. he struggles to push the chair away from the door but as he gets closer to freeing himself the room gets colder and a black silhouette catches his eye near the fallen curtains, in shock he slips and falls over. The silhouette starts pacing towards him and he struggles to find his feet and the shadow gets closer and closer before he leaps up, heaves the chair away from the door and runs out of the room and closes the door in the ghosts face just in time. Hearing the shouting upstairs he calls out to check on them, Liz shouts through the door and asks for his help, Mark hobbles up the stairs and tries to break the door down. He breaks through and rescues the girls they then all flee the house and just stare through the windows from the outside. The camera pans through the house to reveal torn carpets and wallpaper and broken rooms full of broken furniture. The camera then pans back downstairs to see the family stood in the hallway with Mark going to see what his cameras picked up, Mark believes that in order to rid the house of the ghost they must all do the chant again and force it out. The same night Mark sets up candles in the room and makes sure the room is ready to call out, the 4 of them make their way to the bathroom, crowd round and begin the chant. The same happens with the room fading and when the lights turn on the ghosts face looks out to them through the mirror, blood starts trickling down from the mirror and suddenly the face disappears and an eerie voice starts chanting behind them, they look around and the ghost figure is stood behind them, they run for the door and into the hallway except standing at the opposite end is the ghost once again. Mark calls out ordering her to leave and grabs a crucifix from his bag, Mark's yelling angers the ghost and the main light's bulb burst causing spits of fire to fall on the family ande the house to become dark. A voice echoes around the room, Mark paces around all directions pointing his cross into the shadows trying to force the spirit out of hiding, trying to help Emily uses her IPhone torch light for guidance but as soon as she opens it the ghosts face appears right in front of her, she screams and falls back bumping her head, Lily tries to run into her room but the ghost points at her and the door shuts in her face. Panicked, Liz tries to protect her children but the ghost starts walking towards the girls, Mark starts pointing the cross at the ghost and as he get closer the ghost starts screaming trying to scare off Mark, whilst this is happening, the mirror which the girls performed the chant to starts cracking, Mark carries on fearless and is more determined to beat her, the house starts shaking and the wooden banister starts to splinter, door handles rapidly shake and the mirror’s crack grows and grows the closer Mark gets to the ghost. With one more shout and and step the house uncontrollably shakes and the floorboards crack throwing Mark of his feet, the mirror fully cracks open, the ghost's eyes widen and her mouth gapes, her face becomes lifeless with a painful expression and the sound of shattered glass rings around the house. The ghost victimises Lily and tries to grab her but her silhouetted body cracks, Mark yells "I condem you to hell" and she stops in her tracks, her body cracks even more and fades into a dark corner. With one final scream the figure of the ghost disappears. The house finally stills and the family begin to stand and form a group hug and Mark slouches resting on the broken bannister grabbing his breath. The scene fades into a black canvas. The scene fades with a For Sale sign being hammered into the ground and a paperboy cycles by and throws a newspaper onto the front step, the camera follows the paper and reveals the image and article of haunting at the house, the estate agent picks up the paper and bins it. The camera pans out of the bin and shows Liz, Emily and Lily walking together along a path and then up a street towards a new house, they look at the house (with the camera filming from the back of their heads) and have a tight hug before walking into the house. The camera pans up over the house into a bright blue sky to create a white image over the camera and the film rolls the end credits. THE END.

Amy locks herself away and when Jennifer tries to talk to Amy she simply shuts her out and the family life becomes difficult and distant. The next week at school Amy ignores Maddy and avoids all confrontation with her and Cody, instead she hangs out with Julian and tells him everything that's happened. Julian goes to talk to Maddy but she instead acts like she's proud of what happened and tells him she doesn't regret it or that she's sorry. Julian tells Maddy that she's been a terrible friend and the whole friendship is over. Cody tries to talk to Amy but she gives him the hard shoulder and doesn't listen to him, Julian returns and sasses Cody away, as Cody gets sassed away he shouts to Amy to meet him by the lake where they first went on a date. However Maddy overhears what Cody said and flicks her hair with another cunning smile. The camera cuts to show Cody stood on the decking near the river staring out, he turns as he hears someone however it turns out to be Maddy not Amy. Maddy starts to manipulate Cody and try and make him come onto her again however he backs away and tells her to leave but she throws herself at him, he tries to push her off and grabs her hand to throw her off him but just at this moment Amy arrives and walks into seeing Cody holding Maddy’s hand, she totally misreads the situation and calls Cody a “jerk” and leaves in tears- once again hurt and showing it on her face. Olivia (Amy & Julian’s friend) tells the two that Maddy is dating Cody. Maddy then walks past them and sees Amy and kisses Cody in front of her. Amy looks away and Olivia stands up to Maddy but she brushes it off and replied with a snide comment. Cody scowls at Maddy telling her “To stop being like that" and asks "Why she's got to upset his friends” and breaks his hand away and walks off. Olivia and Julian tell Maddy “To run along” and the scene cuts away. Back at Amy’s house she is on her laptop looking at schools in Florida and there are plane tickets on her desk to Orlando. The next day, and the final week of school before the Easter break, Amy is studying in the library, Cody comes up to her and tells her that he and Maddy are over but Amy doesn't care as she's mad at him for everything and for being with her in the first place. She walks off and Cody grabs her arm and tells her that he's sorry and there was nothing between him and Maddy. She tries to leave again and drops her papers, in a rush she rummages them up and leaves except she doesn't see a folded piece of paper and Cody picks it up and sees the plane ticket to Orlando. The school breaks up for Easter and Amy tells Julian that she won't be coming back and that she's leaving. He tries to make her stay but she tells him the flights are booked and that she's already enrolled. The scene cuts to the airport and Amy and her family are ready to board, Julian and Olivia are waving her off but Jennifer tells her that she doesn't have Amy’s ticket, They run to the boarding gate asking if they can buy a ticket, when they arrive they are met by Cody holding her ticket. He explains to her and tells her his feelings with a long apology. They hug and the movie’s signature song plays. Amy boards and the camera shows Cody, Julian and Olivia waving her off and then the plane disappearing into the clouds as well as an ending shot from Amy’s view and how her sight of the airport and her friends disapears through the clouds. The camera pans away through the clouds and up into the sun and blue sky. The camera pans over with Amy narrating the character's of the movies lives; Maddy is with her group of girls with a new boyfriend, Olivia and Julian, seen together, are still friends and are laughing whilst FaceTiming Amy on a luncbench, Cody has his friends and smiles at Julian and Olivia as his group of friends walk by. What is the 180 degree line of action? –
The 180 degree rule
The
180-degree rule is an imaginary line or the axis of action drawn across the
frame or screen. It is the location where the action, the direction and the
sightlines of a subject is moving or the character’s direction of vision. Once
shooting has begun, the camera operator needs to stay on one side of the line
in which they initially started shooting that particular action. There is one
way to break this rule and that is to cross the line. This is an example of why
the 180 degree rule is important. If the camera was to cross this line in this
instance the women would appear to have moved, even though it’s just the camera
angle.
Shot-reverse-shot
Shot-reverse-shot is the different angles of people to
present a conversation. This makes a conversation more interesting as it shows
varied shots of close-ups, long-shots and mid-shots. This way we can also see
different emotions and feelings presented in the shots more clearly. There is
an example of shot-reverse-shot in this short clip;
Match on
action
Cutting on action or matching on action refers to film
editing and video editing techniques where the editor cuts from one shot to
another view that matches the first shot's action. There is an
example of match-on action in this short clip;
